October 29, 2009

Today it marks the last day of our 3 weeks long HSBB Induction Program (Finally...!) From the bottom of my heart, I'm of course feeling super glad that it has finally comes to the end as the classes, food, accommodation and etc etc are driving us crazy!

However, thinking about all of the time we have spent here with such a great bunch of people, somehow it makes my heart feel kinda heavy to say goodbye to all of them, knowing that we might not be able to see each other again in the future as we are going to be separated and proceed to our respective divisions to begin our journey of working life. I'm sure one day when we are stressing ourselves in the big chunk of work, we'll definitely miss the laughter and joy that we had before at here.

An utmost gratitude to our beloved Mr. Johari, who has been such a great mentor to all of us. Thank you for the efforts and time spent, for guiding and leading us to the peak of Maxwell Hill, and for everything that you have done for us. Another special thank you to our absolutely marvelous class representative, Mr. Ifran, who has been taking a real good care of us through out the whole 3 weeks time. Please accept our apologies for giving you such a hard time managing this bunch of monkeys, and we do appreciate your contribution and efforts given to all of us here.

So remember, this is not the end of the journey, it only marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. Together we, the MTP13, work our ways to the top and wishing everyone all the best in their respective jobs and lives. Do remember to keep in touch and please pay visit to our lovely blog more often by leaving message in our chat box ya! If you would like to publish any post in the future, just send us an email at hsbb13@gmail.com and we'll publish it for you.

Signing out, peeps!

p/s: Lesson of the day---> Gurls, exercise more lar!

Nothing is more important when it comes to food. I mean, who doesn't like to have a good meal instead of having the same food everyday which cooked by the same person? And for people like us who aren't from Taiping, finding some well-known local delicacies is definitely in the must-do-list.

Doli, the famous fried kueh teow name in Taiping, of course will automatically be in our food hunting list. Located at the Taiping town area, it is not that difficult to allocate this restaurant. So if you would like to visit this restaurant in the future, try to get the directions from the local. I'm pretty sure they'll be glad to give you a hand on this :)

Getting there was a little difficult for the 20 of us as we do not have sufficient number of cars. Therefore, the drivers have to make two trips back and forth to the college in order to get everyone to the destination. A very big thank you to Mr. Hamdan and Mr. Nuqman!

From a small stall to the current cozy and air-conditioned restaurant, Doli has come far away to what they currently are. Number of customers in the restaurant was overwhelming as we have to wait for quite some time in order to be seated. But thinking of getting a nice plate of fried kueh teow, I'm sure everyone doesn't really mind about that huh?

So, how was the food? Unfortunately Doli's kueh teow did not meet my expectation. Not only the portion given is small for the price we paid, but the taste was pretty ordinary. Some said Penang Fried Kueh Teow taste way better than this! I think I would like to second on that too!

But nonetheless, what matter was that everyone could get around once again, sitting down enjoying the nice meal (Sure nicer than the canteen meal lorr!) and cherish the moment being together before the whole training ends. Afterall, we can get fried kueh teow everywhere but not great people like them right?

Thta's all for this time! Have a nice day, peeps!

I came across that there's one person in our group who is so ready to be the camwhore superstar. In order to fulfill his dream, let's witness what effort had he put in in order to be the Camwhore King!

So ladies and gentlemen, let's give a big applause to the Camwhore King Wannabe to our very dearest - HAIRI~!!

P/s: No offence ya! :p

Living in Malaysia was a bless. Not only because of the strategic geographic location, but also because of the citizen who contribute so much of their culture and tradition onto this land. That's why we enjoyed so much on the last Saturday's Deepavali BBQ dinner, which was also a surprise party for Geetha.

We had so much things to busy around for the party, I bet most of them is busy for food lah. Thanks to the committees who put so much effort into this, and thanks to the rest for the participation. Let's review what had we did during last Saturday!

We started it off with a gathering at the BBQ venue with some junk food, while waiting for the main character to appear, surely we would not forget to camwhore!

The moment of truth had begun when Aidah lead the blind folded Geetha to the BBQ venue (I bet Geetha can smell the smoke already la!), everyone was so ready to surprise her while worried over the rain pour as well! In a count of 3, we revealed the surprise to her with a warm greeting of "Happy Deepavali!" Seeing the Deepavali girl in such a nice costume with a face of surprise and happiness, this is what we expect la!

Let's see what we had makan!

Camwhore session is a must!

Not to forget about the games we had after the feast. We had the Mafia and the hand squeezing game organized by Hidhir and Steven. Though there are so much confusion, such as some blur fellows who didn't know his/her true identity even though had been killed by mafia, but we really had a lot of fun and laughter through out the whole time! I believe we will have a better game if we have the chance to play it again for the rest of the training.

Having such a good bunch of friends for a good gathering during the festive season, what can we ask for more from this land of culture? Bersyukurlah...... ^.^

14 October 2009 (Half-sunny, half-rainy)

For certain group of people, number 14 is deemed as one of the bad numbers they would ever want to associate with. Unfortunately, it is indeed a bad number to the 33 poor MTPs. We had the opportunity to conquer one of the most famous landmarks in the Rain City of Taiping, the Maxwell Hill. Standing high at approximately 1250m above the sea level, surrounded by the lush tropical flora and fauna, Maxwell Hill is definitely the place that we have been looking forward to explore during the stay in Taiping.

Before we get sufferred

Hamdan & Shaf, please concentrate there la...

After a short warm-up session, our journey to the top was led by Mr Johari with full of "enthusiasm" and "spirit". Well, the first 30minutes was a smooth walk where there were still laughter and joy from the team. Not until the moment where they found out the steepness of Maxwell Hill, as well as the super twisted roads and turns along the way, the hope of reaching the top was slowly dashing away as our physical and emotional fitness was being challenging along the way. But with all the hard work and determination, we finally reached the peak stop around 1.30pm where at that point of time, the only thing that was in our mind is to have our LUNCH!!!! :P Now, coming back to the overall hiking experience. We were able to indulge ourselves in the arms of mother nature with breathtaking scenery of tropical forest and Taiping town, the cooling weather at uphill, white and cushy blanket of fogs floating around the hill and many more. Looking at the view of downhill, I'm sure all the team members were pretty proud of themselves for the achievement and the experience of reaching the peak was definitely worth it despite all the hard times catching our breaths, the pain of dragging ourselves to the top, cramping our muscles and some other grandmother stories. Learning that determination and team work and support between members are what matter the most. Kudossss and bravooo to everyone for the achievement! *clap clap*

The friendly uncles with their heart-warming tea session

Truly drinkable mountain water

Evon, why la shy shy there?

Love and appreciate our nature environment

Cendana Hut @ Maxwell Hill

Anyone knows what flower is this?

People always said "behind every great man comes a great woman". But this time, it should be "behind every great climb comes a great PAIN" @.@ Now Salonpas and Counter Pain should be quite handy for everyone :P Signing out, peeps!
